A few things that matter
to how I work.
You own it.
Every engagement ends with a documented handoff. You get everything: the code, the documentation, the context. No lock-in, no dependency on me to keep the lights on.
Practical over perfect.
The right architecture is the one that fits your business now and can grow with you. I build what you need, not what looks impressive in a pitch deck.
Plain language.
Data work has a lot of jargon. I communicate in plain language: with you, in documentation, and in the reports your team reads. If it's not clear, it's not useful.
Right-sized scope.
I scope engagements carefully and don't oversell. If the Data Audit is enough to get you unstuck, that's what I'll recommend, not a full stack build you don't need yet.
What Pony Alto Fixes.
Scattered reporting.
Your numbers live in five different tools and none of them agree.
Manual busywork.
Someone rebuilds the same report by hand every week, and it's usually you.
Disconnected systems.
Your CRM, your ops platform, your ad accounts, and your accounting software don't talk to each other.
No real visibility.
You find out a location, channel, or job is losing money weeks after it already happened.
Built on: BigQuery, dbt, Airbyte, Prefect/Dagster. Custom-coded dashboards by default, not templates. Looker Studio or Power BI if you're already living in one of those.
Want to see if we're
a good fit?
The best way to start is a conversation. Reach out and tell me a bit about your business and where you're feeling stuck with data. I'll let you know if and how I can help.
